First Lady Barnes

Affectionately referred to as “Lady Fran” ,  Lady FranShon Reid-Barnes is Spirit-Filled, Poignant, and Prophetic.  Born to Bishop Frank Madison Reid, III and Supervisor Marlaa’ M. Reid Lady Fran  is the legacy of six generations of preachers who dedicated their lives in service to God.

Best known for her organic and transparent nature, Lady Fran allows her unique experiences to serve as a pathway to expose others to the liberating and life-changing Word of God. As a result of her non-traditional approach to reaching women in her generation, Lady Fran served as the Youth & Young Adult Pastor to OurNation Youth Ministry at Bethel A.M.E. Church from August 2010 to November 2014. She is most referenced for her work as the Co-founder of the Sex In The City Singles Conference and The National Relationship Hotline. The Hotline received national acclaim and collectively provided spiritual and practical tips on how to heal from a sexually troubled past. This ministry reached over 2,500 young adults internationally and has been reviewed on ABC, Fox, and other television and radio stations.

Lady Fran is now a licensed minister in the A.M.E. Church and is highly sought after as a preacher and teacher regarding: prayer, deliverance, and self-care. She is a dynamic businesswoman with a background in event planning, marketing and public relations. Lady Fran also enjoys traveling the country helping others build a standard of service, discipleship, and effective youth ministry. In 2014 Lady Fran founded the Fit2Lead movement with the goal of encouraging leaders of her generation to get physically fit for their future. With a heart for women, she continues to provide women with applicable tips for success in the areas of relationships, self-esteem, and fitness.

Lady Fran is a 2009 Spelman graduate, with a B.A. in theatre graduating Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude. Lady Fran is the proud wife of Rev. Willie N. Barnes Jr., who is the Pastor of Mt. Zion AME Church located in Daytona Beach, FL. As she transitions into her new role as a wife and Florida resident, she plans to continue seeking God’s voice, spreading His Word, and helping her husband develop his ministerial footprint. She is excited to see what God has in store for her in this new season.
